Data used to monitor development results in countries supported by IDA, the World Bank’s fund for the poorest, are now available in Databank via API. Visit the IDA Results Measurement System (RMS) in our data catalogue, to create and download tables of IDA RMS indicators, or visualize the data in charts and maps.

The World Development Indicators (WDI) database has been updated. This update features new external debt data from the newly-released International Debt Statistics publication, as well as updated energy, emissions, freshwater, poverty, immunization, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS series, and revised national accounts, PPP extrapolated, balance of payments, monetary and government finance indicators, and education statistics.

The new Global Economic Prospects (GEP) report has been released. According to the report, developing countries growth in 2013 is expected to be robust at more than 5.5 percent, but 1-2 percentage points below what it was during the pre-crisis period. To regain those growth rates, developing countries will have to look within, by undertaking through productivity-enhancing investments in infrastructure, health and education.

The World Bank has launched a new website featuring data on Health, Nutrition and Population (HNP) topics. This new website, HealthStats, is a central place to explore, visualize and download HNP data.

The World Development Indicators (WDI) database has been updated. New child mortality estimates by the UN Inter-agency group for Child Mortality Estimation (UN IGME) have been released for neonatal, infant and under-five mortality; and new malnutrition estimates have been jointly released by WHO, UNICEF, and the World Bank. UNICEF, WHO and the World Bank have collaborated to produce a set of joint estimates of child malnutrition for 2011 as well as trends since 1990. The report is available here.
