About Catalog Source Queries

The material available through the API comes from several World Bank sources. For example, three different data sets, World Development Indicators, Doing Business, and Governance Indicators, are part of the API. The sources query allows you to see all sources. Source is also included as a parameter in some calls, for example, a request for an indicator will include the source of that indicator. Depending on how you are using the API, it may be helpful to delimit indicator queries by source or to check on the source for a particular indicator.
